McLaren Automotive is owned by McLaren Group, a British company founded by Ron Dennis in 1985. McLaren Automotive operates independently within the group and focuses on designing, developing, and manufacturing high-performance sports cars. While McLaren Group initially had multiple shareholders, including the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, as of my last update in January 2022, majority ownership remained with various private investors, with a minority stake held by the Bahraini sovereign wealth fund.
