Our solar system comprises one star – the Sun. There are no other stars within our solar system. The Sun is a G-type main-sequence star, providing the energy necessary for life on Earth. It is located at the center of our planetary system, and its gravitational pull keeps the planets, moons, and other celestial bodies in orbit. While there are billions of stars in our galaxy, the Milky Way, only the Sun is part of our solar system.
